Ease of Meditation

With spring arriving, it a good time for a little “Spring cleaning.” I remember the first time I tried to meditate, I sat on a mat and was told to focus on my breathing. For an entire 30 minutes, I had one million other thoughts running through my head and my breath was not one of them. I got up off that mat  more frustrated than when I sat down. Spring Begins March 20

Spring is the time of new birth, beginnings, and expansion. In Chinese Medicine, it is the time of the wood element. We go from wearing dark deep colors to bright contrasting colors. The virtue of the wood element is benevolence, to act in kindness. This is not only kindness to others but to yourself. To be kind to one’s self Meditate: every morning take at least 15 minutes for you. Sit still and let go of it all.
